Our Philosophy
We believe that birth is a normal life event that is profound for the mother and family. We feel that quality care and a trusting relationship are best ensured when educated women make informed decisions regarding their care. Our practice is based the belief that a partnership is formed between the midwives and the women we care for, and that healthcare works best when we collaborate together.
Throughout the pregnancy we discuss testing and procedures that are available and give you relevant handouts with further information. We provide the mother with individualized education, counseling, prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support. We believe that interventions should only be utilized when they are truly needed.
